Best of the Consumer Electronics show

The Consumer Electronics Show is the greatest technology show on earth. In fact, it's the world's largest annual consumer technology event, and includes companies from 110 countries. With nearly 14 hectares of floor space, or 26 gridiron football fields to use the Yankee vernacular, there's no better place to get a sense of where technology is going and what products we can expect to see over the coming year. Armed with my trusty notepad, a press pass and a good pair of walking shoes, I was ready to find out.

LG's All-Format DVD-RW Released

Display and optical storage leader LG Electronics has released the Super Multi all-format DVD re-writer, which writes 4.7 GB on a DVD, in the local market. It had launched the optical storage device in the Middle East in early October last year.

LG claims that the drive is the world's only all-format DVD re-writer.
